Undergraduate Clinical Education (UCE) Committee:

The Undergraduate Clinical Education Committee plays a central role in planning the strategies for the clerkship of students during their clinical years and internship.  The Clinical Affairs Organizational Chart illustrates the committee structure which is chaired by the Associate Dean, Clinical Affairs and reports to the Dean of the College of Medicine.

The charges of the committee include:

  • To define and implement the objectives, goals and structure of the clinical years in COM curriculum.
  • To develop together with the Department of Medical Education Program Evaluation and Student Assessment in the clinical years.
  • To oversee the clinical teaching organization and management of the COM educational program.
  • To review analyzed data reported by the Medical Program Evaluation and Student Assessment Committee and formulate educational policies.
  • To deal unresolved problems in the teaching of the curriculum.
  • To plan student assessment.
  • To plan, implement and organize internship rotations for graduated students.
