Obstetrics & Gynecology Block: (OBG 602: CRH, 9)

The Obstetrics and gynecology block aims to introduce the student to a balanced view of the preventive and curative health needs of women and babies, and related common community health problems and their management.

Obstetrics and gynecology blocks are packed with fantastic learning opportunities, which the well-organized student can take full advantage of.. The student will learn the importance of good time management and the need to plan ahead across the weeks. The clinical rotation at King Abdulaziz Medical City-Riyadh has been carefully designed to ensure coverage of the essential elements of the Obstetrics and gynecology curriculum.

Overall, the aim of this block is to address the four themes in a truly integrated way. Each structured teaching session will address the themes in as balanced, natural and relevant a manner as possible and, for this rotation, Evidence Based Medicine is not a discrete segment - it is now integrated within the PBL process and applied widely in the clinical attachments.
