MSK-302 Musculoskeletal Sciences & Substance Abuse

This block focuses on two main themes, substance abuse and the musculoskeletal system. In the musculoskeletal system the main aim is to introduce the students to the important and common problems of the musculoskeletal system, including trauma. Resolving these problems provides students with solid knowledge and skills related to the anatomy, muscle physiology, histology of bone and joints, pathophysiology and immunopathology of musculoskeletal disorders, and how to approach to the patient with a musculoskeletal disorder. The second aim of this block is to enable the students to gain an understanding of the basic concepts of substance abuse such as etiology, risk factors, pathophysiology of addiction, and basic concepts of management.
