Research Profile

Exploring the molecular (genetic-level) facts targeting the comparative status of both ‘the normal/healthy cardiovascular (CVS) status’ versus the ‘morbid’ one.  The main Scientific-Research interests include:

  • Essential hypertension (EHTN), Cardiovascular diseases (CVD), dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus - (Active)
  • Environmental risk factors of EHTN and CVD.
  • Genetics of hypertension- micro-array analysis for SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) in Essential Hypertension Genes- (to be commenced in 2014).
  • Hyperlipidemia - (Active).
  • Electrophysiological aspects of cardiovascular diseases- (Active).
  • Electron microscopic findings to explore etiology of PID (Prolapsed Intervertebral Disc) by studying the deposition of Calcium micro-crystal in IVD- (Active).
  • Other research areas: Herbal/Unani/Ayurvedic Medicine
  • Herbal research- Anti-constipation single agent#1. (Herbal agents name kept confidential- project to be commenced in 2014).
  • Herbal research- Anti-constipation compound formula#2 for extremely high resistance constipation adult cases (formula kept confidential & project to be commenced in 2014). NOTE: These Research Areas indicated above are open for KSAU-HS students plus Faculty/NGHA-Colleagues to participate as Co-researcher/Co-Author.
  • Herbal research- Anti-lympho-proliferative agent- an anti-neoplastic herbal formula for benign growths (Protocol under-preparation).
